A set of cookware that has recieved 'the seal'?

I am looking for a set of cookware that has recieved "the seal".

We are a family of 3 and our pots and pans are old and falling apart. I want a set that will stand the test of time and "real" cooking. I’m looking at a set of Emeril’s to buy but want some advice.

  1. Definitely go with Emerils.
    I have a friend who is a chef and he has these pots and pans in his kitchen. If that doesn’t say something, I do not know what does.

  2. I seen on tv that the best cookware is Surgical stainless steel pots.

  3. I bought a set of Guy Degrenne cookware many years ago for an obscene amount of money and they are still beautiful! While it seems foolhardy to spend a lot of money on pots and pans, it is an investment that makes a daily chore much easier to handle.My set is stainless steel over copper which distributes heat evenly, is easy to clean up and you do not have to worry about what utensils you use to cook with. Teflon is highly overrated!
