what are the best stores to buy high-end cookware and knives?

I’m interested in buying separate pieces (not a set) of commercial-grade (or close to it). Where would Gordon Ramsay go for cookware and knives?

The answer is simple. J.A. Henckels.

For decades they have set the bar for single tang knives. They also have a no extra cost lifetime guarantee.

For high end cookware I use only Kitchen Aid. My mother, who is 85 years old still has her original stand mixer and attachments and none have worn or broken in over 50 years of use. My mixer is still going strong after 20 years and all attachments and cookware and utensils are just like new.

  3. You should go to a restaurant supply store. You get commercial quality goods for a fraction of the price. They may have strict business hours, but you can google one close to your zip code.

The poshest places to purchase culinary products are:
Williams Sonoma – but very commercial and novelty-driven at times, for the food-lover, not chef
    Sur la Table
Viking – I think that’s what you are looking for

Otherwise, you can just pick up a copy of an industry magazine. The adverts will tell you where to buy from.
