Question about a Brita faucet mount and making bottles of formula?
We have a well, and it was tested a few years ago and the water is fine. We’ve been buying nursery water to make up my newborn’s bottles of formula. Would buying a Brita faucet mount water purifier be alright, do you think?
And for anyone who wants to tell me to breastfeed, I’m making milk, but not enough to satisfy him, so I’m pumping and supplementing with formula. ![]()
I bought a Pur water filter and make bottles up, course Im not on well water though. Now they get rid of lead, mecury etc but Ive been thinking it’s probably a good idea to still boil it afterward to really get all of the contamination out and bacteria.
I have no idea about the brita faucet, it might work but all I do is boil the kettle and then use that water once its cooled, its cheaper than anything else.
Just ignore anyone who tells you to breastfeed, I know how it feels, I wasnt making enough and my baby boy was constantly hungry so we switched to formula….No one can judge you till they have walked in your shoes and knows the situation :0)

I would have the water tested again every few years, I think that’s what you’re supposed to do anyways if your family drinks the water. If it is all clear, then get a filter and don’t worry about it.
