Can i buy a house with no kitchen with a FHA LOAN?

I have a house that i like but it has the kitchen cabinets missing and appliances but has the titles there and i can also provide the appliances but cabinets i will have to buy can this quailfy for FHA LOAN?

  3. The quick answer is "No", a house must have a kitchen with cabinetry, stove (oven w/cooktop, etc), sink, etc. to qualify for FHA financing.

    But, there is an FHA loan program that allows you to escrow funds for required repairs. A 203K might work, but only a few lenders participate in the program because it is more complicated and requires oversight.

    Ask your lender to explain what is allowed and what is required for 203K financing.

    This house would need to be basically move-in ready for it to qualify for an FHA purchase. If the Seller is willing to provide those items before close of escrow, it would work. Don’t improve a house that is not yours as there is no protection for you. If for some reason your escrow doesn’t close, you are out what you put into the house. Ask the Seller for what you need and see how they respond.

    Most homes in this condition generally sell to conventional buyers.
