Do you have Waterless Cookware?

I am thinking about buying a full set of waterless cookware but have a few questions.

1) How has it worked for you?
2) What brand do you have?
3) Does it work as well as it’s made out to be?

  1. I have kitchen craft waterless cookware and honestly it sucks. If you cook things the way that you are supposed to, they stick horribly and leave a black residue all over the pan…it’s not worth the money. Go buy yourself a nice set of Faberware.

  2. I don’t own any. I’ve never used waterless cookware. I’ve read about it and I remember several years ago it was sort of a fad. One of my mother’s friends owned a set. I honestly don’t see the point in it.

If I want to steam veggies, I’ll put them in a steamer. It’s just a 2 quart saucepan with a steamer basket in it. I set the lid on and the veggies just steam away.

When I use frozen veggies, I usually nuke them unless they are an ingredient in a casserole, stew or soup.

I’m happy with standard cooking techniques and a good quality set of stainless steel cookware.

  3. I have never heard of waterless cookware.

  4. I’ve read about it and I would like to purchase a set as well. Please let me know where I can get it in Canada.

I found this “Maxam KT Ultra17 World’s Finest 7 Ply Steam Control 17pc Surgical Stainless Steel Waterless cookware set”. The price is about $300 US. The problem is they don’t ship to Canada.
