How much should it cost to put in a small bathroom in the basement?
We bought a house that had one already started. Finished it should be about 50 square feet. My husband and I are doing the ceramic tile. A friend of the family agreed to do the rest for 00 if we buy the needed supplies (tub, vanity, faucets, sheetrock etc.). Are we getting a good deal?

yes, if he can deliver on time and on a job well done. a) hard to find good workers b) hard to find reliable handy persons. c) the price sounds OK if you have the right material and the right plans. good work.
It doesn’t sound that bad My dad just had our old bath tub removed and a new one installed with the floor board taken out it came to just over $1000 but I thought that was too much. I don’t know though have you seen pictures of your friends previous bathroom installations or can he give you some references usually it isn’t a good idea to mix friendship and business.
I have seen some companies over a flat rate for bathrooms that include removing your old one and providing all the materials and tub, sink ext. for $2500 CDN

another idea is to check the phone book and ask for a free no obligation estimate allot of companies will do that. In my opinion I would go for some one who is a professional and is insured
It’s within market norms.
I’d go for it, unless you feel comfortable doing it yourself
The cost of fitting will be the same as for any other bath room. The main problem is the disposal of liquid waste. It will have to be pumped out to the manhole on ground level.
Are you putting tiles on floor and walls? What they be doing? What will be they be doing for $1000 buck?
