Looking to buy a new kitchen sink and don't know if I should buy an acrylic sink.?

I don’t want stainless steel because they are to much work and I’m not sure how well the acrylic sinks hold up. Any advice would be appreciated.

  1. I just recently bought a granite-acrylic composite sink and I love it. It is very easy to clean and it is beautiful. Plus, it doesn’t scratch! My old stainless sink was nothing but scratches by the time I replaced it. I would recommend getting a composite sink over stainless to anyone.

  2. I’d check out acrylic really close before buying. Stainless steel is by far the easiest to clean and most durable sink to get. I’ve had a white ceramic sink and now have a stainless, and I’d not use anything else.

  3. If you go for an acrylic one, make sure its a good one. Ideally a dark granite effect coloured one which is made using a filled acrylic resin. This will make it quite heavy compared to a stainless one but it will last longer than a lighter colour.

Whatever you do, do not buy a polyester one or you will be replacing it after 12 months !

  4. When I moved into the house I am living in right now ( 3 years ago ) previous owners had a porcelain green sink, I just couldn’t wait to rip it out and get rid of it BIG mistake I replaced it with a stone like material one and it is WHITE I wish I had my old green sink back. Porcelain for me is the answer. Yeah I had stainless steel forget it. Good luck!
