Will a faucet with two handles fit a bathroom sink that currently has a faucet with only one handle?

they are both the same manufacturer, but the one in my bathroom now is one of those older ones with handle on top that you have to pull up to turn on. I bought one that has handles on both sides without really thinking. The handles are not separate from the faucet part (they are on the same base), and the base is the same size as the one on there now, but I don’t know if it will fit the same! Please help, the plumber is coming tomorrow!

  1. the plumber can make it work

  2. Look under the sink and measure the distance between the holes where the lines go into the faucet. They should be about 4" apart for 4 " faucets for about 8" apart for an 8′ faucet. If there is only ONE hole under the sink , then you will need a ONE lever faucet. Hope this helps.
